While driving the beautiful roads of the Eiffel in Germany I spotted some towns on my roadmap with names of interest, so I decided to make a daytrip to visit them.
Along the river Mosel, which is the border between Luxembourg and Germany, lies the German town called Perl. The next town along the river, 2.7km further to be exact, is situated in France. It is called Apach. Yes, this is true, I am not making this up.
This town really exists, I had to refrain myself from not taking one of the roadsigns :-)
Leave it to the germans to have this town as well :-) It's the part of Perl that sits on top of the hill next to the river.
Coincidence? Conspiracy? The french neighbourtown of Perl.
